At least since January.

I talked to none of my friends. I left the house once to go to the bank to cash my measly paycheck, the grocery store to get milk (go figure), and Best Buy to buy the new Jason Aldean album. I spent three hours watching the entire Indians game and mindlessly tweeting updates about how the game was going. Oh, we lost by the way.

Other than that, I can't really put a time on the other things I did today: Laundry, playing the Wii with my little sister, and letting my dog out about a trillion times.

I badly wanted to get out of the house, but I had nowhere to go and nothing to do. I had almost wished that my gas tank was empty so I would have a reason to go fill it up (it's down to 3.33 a gallon!), but I had just filled it up yesterday.

Now it's a little bit after 1 in the morning and I have to be at work tomorrow by 7:45 am. Not cool. Not cool at all.

Days like these make me think Saturday doesn't deserve all the hype that it gets.

Good night, and good luck.

'Super 8' is Super Good

After numerous relatives of mine insisted that I go see the new J.J. Luckily, they run out before anyone knows they were there.

The kids’ efforts to not speak of what happened that night begin to fade when mysterious happenings take place in the days after the crash: dogs leave town, car engines and household appliances begin to vanish, and the power the city runs on begins to vanish too.

After developing and playing back the film taken the night of the crash, they identify a strange creature emerging from the train wreckage. After a hunt for information, they discover that the government has captured and made an enemy of this “monster” when all it wants is to return to its home (another planet we assume).

I won’t give away the ending, but the decision has to be made to either deal with the creature using force (which is the plan of the Air Force) or kindness. It takes a 12-year-old boy to figure out it out. But is it too late?

‘Super 8’ gets 3 and ½ stars (out of 4!) for being super good (corny, I know).

I've Got Sunshine

It's been awhile and this won't be very long as it's not one of those nights where I'm itching to pour my insides out onto this webpage. But I will give you a little update on the goings-on in my life - not that any of the 2 of you (if even that many!) reading this care.

School is over and I have decided not to take any summer classes - tough decision! Ha! But I will say that of the four semesters I was at my college, the latest semester was the most productive and fun semester and I was probably the happiest during last semester than I was throughout any of the others. Did I say probably? I meant, I absolutely was happiest.

I did well in all of my classes and I actually spent time at the school learning what goes on there on a daily basis. Turns out it isn't so bad and I actually enjoyed it! Of course, it wouldn't have been possible without the help and motivation of the most involved and well-known girl in the whole freakin' building! Plus, we managed to find some previously hidden spots in the building: The fourth floor art area! The roof-top! The auditorium where we gave fake speeches about life and other random inappropriate things (while shouting at invisible audience members!).

So, yes, school went from being the most difficult and frustrating part of my life to the most enjoyable part all in the span of a few months. Incredible I know! And not only was it enjoyable, but I did pretty well too. It's a win-win situation! Killed two small goats with one stone! (That's how they say it in my parts!)

Aside from all of that good news, I'm coaching my little sister's baseball team this summer and we have won our first 7 games (with 10 more games left to play)!

Nearly 6 months into 2011, I can already say that this is one of the best years yet, and the best starts of summer too.

I look forward to the next three months of summer and the next 6 months of 2011!

Thank you to all who have made this year so nice.

Good night, and good luck.

Welcome Back!!

Well, well, well!
